Since 1993, INSELGALERIE BERLIN has been dedicated to promoting women’s art. As one of the few galleries in Berlin exclusively showcasing works by women, it follows a cross-generational and interdisciplinary approach. The gallery provides a vital platform for emerging female artists, addressing systemic underrepresentation in fees, exhibitions, and media visibility.

The programme fosters artistic discourse through high-quality exhibitions and diverse events, including readings, talks, performances, and concerts. By challenging the male-dominated art world – and advocating for equal recognition of women’s creative achievements – the gallery continues to drive public awareness and innovation in contemporary art.

Supported by the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion.
