Mircea Modreanu’s works explore symbolism, heritage and environmental concerns. They transform consumer remnants into new forms using techniques such as melted plastic with 3D pencil and recycled materials including food packaging and plaster. They address the lifecycle of objects, consumerism, waste and renewal, interrogating humanity’s impact and the potential for reimagining discarded materials.
Vegetal symbolism is central, linking the works to nature’s cycles of growth and decay. Organic forms contrast with industrial materials, highlighting the tensions between the natural and the synthetic. References to ancient objects and their transformations situate the works within a narrative of metamorphosis and resilience. The exhibition examines humanity’s relationship with the material world.
