THE ROOM BELOW is an art gallery located at the centre of Kanazawa, prefectural capital of Ishikawa. We are an artist-run organisation that has been curating art projects and workshops since 2006. In 2013 we opened THE ROOM BELOW, an art gallery which is supporting emerging talents. We work with both established artists as well as outsider artists. The gallery’s aim is to foster dialogue and create networks that transgress cultures and geographical borders.
