Small Projects

Tromsø, Norway

Small Projects is an Artist-run space which organizes events and exhibitions, supporting works that challenges boundaries and promote critical discussion. Our goal is to provide an exhibition space for emerging and established artists with a program spanning solo, group, curated exhibitions, and performances. Artist Jet Pascua began Small Projects in 2001 in Manila, Philippines. It started as a nomadic art initiative organizing a series of events involving a diverse group of artists, filmmakers, poets and performance artists using different available spaces. After receiving support from the Norwegian Arts Council, Small Projects established a permanent location in the city of Tromsø in January 2011.

Small Projects collaborate with several International art inititatives, such as NABROAD. The participation of Small Projects to the Supermarket Art Fair is supported by the Office for Contemporary Art Norway (OCA), The Norwegian Embassy, Stockholm, and Kulturrådet (Norwegian Arts Council).
