Slipvillan is an artist-run organisation based on Långholmen in central Stockholm. Operated by 11 professional artists, the space combines studios with a gallery for exhibitions, projects, workshops and residencies, and engages in international exchange.
At SUPERMARKET 2026, Slipvillan presents ‘The Day After’, created by Rikard Fåhraeus, Susanne Högdahl Holm, Galina Davydtchenko, Monika Masser and Lars Torvaldsson. The project approaches “the day after” as a state of mind rather than a moment in time. It is the gap after something big: a party, a disaster, a change, a dream. What remains are the traces, the smell, and the euphoria that fades. But perhaps also a feeling of quiet hope: something new can begin here. The presence in the absence, of never being quite there, and of looking back at what just has been, while at the same time anticipating the future. Beyond the glitter of yesterday, slightly melancholic but lit with the bright light of a new day.
