Platform Arts is a voluntary artist-led studio group and contemporary art gallery based in Belfast’s city centre. Our aim is to actively promote creative expression, presentation and access to contemporary art practice through our Exhibition, Education and Studio Programmes. We hold regular exhibitions throughout our two gallery spaces and a programme of events designed to meet these aims. Platform has a number of studio spaces that are rented to our member artists in order to support their professional development as practicing artists. Nevertheless, the Platform community far exceeds its members, trustees, and volunteers. Past studio members as well as artists and curators from the Belfast arts community often work with us in collaboration.

The physical outputs of the exhibit still remain in flux, however we can guarantee that the works will range from wall based to text based sculptures with the inclusion of new, as well as traditional media pieces.
We would work with between 5 and 8 artists including our studio members and other invited local artists, to finalise our overall brief, ensuring that the curatorial thread between exhibited items reiterates our identity as an arts collective and provides linkages to our cooperative nature, while allowing works of art to stand alone for individual recognition within the wider context of the art fair.
We hope that the works we display would both engage visitors to interact as well as observe.
