Nordic Art Association in Finland

The aim of the Association is to promote co-operation and understanding in the Nordic countries between individual artists and organizations for the arts. The Association organizes exhibitions, seminars, workshops and courses.

At present the Association comprises nine national member sections: Denmark, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Saami (Lapland), Sweden and Aland. The members of the various national sections are local artists and visual arts organizations, operating both through co-operative projects and independently.

The Nordic Art Association is runned by the professional artists themselves. Association meeting is held once in year and is the highest deciding organ.

The Nordic Art Association’s whole name in Finland is Suomen Pohjoismainen Taideliitto – Nordiska Konstförbundet i Finland ry. Its homeplace is Helsinki.
