Grafiska Sällskapet
Stockholm, Sweden
Grafiska Sällskapet (the Swedish Printmakers’ Association) is an artist-run organisation founded in 1910 as a platform for collegial exchange and a shared passion for printmaking. At SUPERMARKET 2026, the association presents ‘SVÄRTA’, a collection of black-and-white prints that reflects on the foundations of graphic art. Working with black ink on white paper, the presentation draws on the tradition of book printing and the early ambition to make images reproducible and widely accessible.
From these origins, printmaking has continued to evolve through new expressions and expanded technical possibilities. At Grafiska Sällskapet’s gallery on Hornsgatan 6 in Stockholm, visitors can explore works by more than 400 members, representing a wide range of graphic techniques and artistic approaches.
