Galleria Sculptor

Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland

Eteläranta 12
00130 Helsinki

Galleria Sculptor is the only gallery in Finland focusing on presenting different forms of contemporary sculpture, and through its programme, the audience has a unique possibility to explore in specific what contemporary sculpting can be. Our exhibition programme highlights the diversity of contemporary sculpture and we aim to offer new insights into spatial, three-dimensional and object-based practices. The association organizes also events and exhibitions outside the gallery. In the summer of 2019, a major public art exhibition “Sculpture Expanded – moving laboratory of public art” was held in Helsinki. Throughout the summer, the exhibition showcased artworks by 10 artists/artist collectives in 32 changing locations all around the city of Helsinki.

Galleria Sculptor, run by The Association of Finnish Sculptors, is mainly focused on contemporary Finnish sculpture, but it also makes room for artists from foreign countries and from different fields of art.
At Supermarket Art Fair 2013 Galleria Sculptor will present some of the most innovative Finnish artists: Petri Eskelinen, Andy Best & Merja Puustinen, Anne Meskanen-Barman, Hilda Kozari and Heli Ryh.nen. These artists will bring to the fair an interesting variety of modern Finnish sculpture using different, alternative and experimental materials and means of expression: scents and fragrances, beeswax, sand and earth, and participatory installations.
