FokiaNou Art Space is an artist-run project space in an intimate, small apartment in an old building in Athens. FokiaNou encourages collaborative creative efforts between Greek and foreign artists, and promotes the local art community. Founded in 2014, the self-funded, non-commercial space hosts exhibitions, workshops, talks and performances under the direction of two artists, Mary Cox and Panagiotis Voulgaris. Since 2016, over 50 exhibitions have taken place, with ample press coverage and very well attended.

FokiaNou Art Space, with co-directors Mary Cox and Panagiotis Voulgaris curating, showcases artists who have collaborated with the space, whether as participants in group shows and open calls or artists who have had solo shows. These artists individually take diverse approaches to address the theme of “twilight zone”, in various media: drawing, painting, collage, ceramics, photography and video. True to its mission, FokiaNou Art Space presents a mix of Greek and international artists: John Bicknell, Maria Bourbou, Mary Cox, Susan Daboll, Angeliki Douveri, Dimitra Maltabe, Dionisiοs Pappas, Lea Petrou, Nikos Podias, Geeta Roopnarine, Iliana Theodoropoulou, Panagiotis Voulgaris.
