Since 2004, Duplex100m2 has supported the art scene of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Balkans. It hosts numerous artists and enables the production, exhibition and presentation of their works. It organises exhibitions on local, regional and international levels; it enhances the visibility of art in Bosnia and Herzegovina outside of its boarders, especially at international contemporary art fairs; it makes connections between numerous contemporary art actors - artists, curators, institutional representatives and private partners; it does everything with the aim to foster new projects and establish an unusual platform for artistic encounters.   Duplex100m2 is expanding its activities in the space which at the same time serves as exhibition space, manufacturing shop, agency for project design and development, show room for art lovers and art collectors, as well as a space of social encounters and actions.   In the framework of Supermarket 2014 Duplex100m2 has invited three artists - Julien Boily, Bruno Marceau, Mathieu Valade - represented by the art centre 'Bang' (Chicoutimi, Québec, Canada), and Veronika Somnitz who curates Andy Kania (Berlin). We will also show works of Marianne Marić  and Edo Vejselović. Duplex100m2 is supported by agnès b. Endowment Fund and the Agency of Paris.

“Art is making life more interesting than art” Robert Filiou

The Duplex is a contemporary art centre with international perspective. It is essentially dedicated to the creations of young artists and managed by artists, for artists and for their audience.

The Duplex is a venue of the DADADA NGO, a non-profit, a-political organisation which was created in Paris in September 2008. DADADA also manages the Sarajevo Galerija 10m2 created in 2004.

Galerija10m2 is not exactly a gallery but rather an “art house space”, a space of experimentations, confrontations and meetings, a field of artistic experiments, attempts and overflowing; a place of great liberty which enables artists to face an uncommon space.

Behind every representation, there is a suspicion: not to have chosen the good scenario or, more precisely, the idea that our lives are worth living provided we accept our dreams and immerse ourselves in the exuberance and contradictions of our times.
