Detroit Stockholm is an artist-run studio collective and gallery operated by 21 members working across various disciplines. Founded nearly 20 years ago, the organisation’s core values are to provide affordable studio spaces, with the gallery functioning as an open platform for diverse artistic exploration.
At SUPERMARKET 2026, Detroit Stockholm presents ‘We Move in Seasonal Time’, featuring works by artist Sanna Fogelvik (SE) and composer Julie Zhu (US). The presentation links human and more-than-human worlds through sound, sculpture and image. Canopy traces the flow of trees in dialogue with bells, while A Beginner’s Lesson in Fossil Language invites visitors to engage with a form of cross-species language. Together with sculptural and photographic works, the installation creates a space for communication, reflecting on relationality and coexistence – a gala for the human and more-than-human.
