Canteiro is an artist-run independent space in São Paulo, Brazil, founded by artist Ivan Padovani and co-managed with fellow artist-partner Guta Galli. Since its founding, Canteiro has functioned as a hub for experimentation, hosting exhibitions, performances, residencies and study groups that foster collaboration and collective learning.
At SUPERMARKET 2026, Canteiro presents the group exhibition ‘Mirror, Mirror’, featuring Mano Penalva, Selva de Carvalho, Marcelo Brasiliense, Caio Borges, Marcelo Amorim and Karlla Girotto. Using the gala as a metaphor for society’s performance of power, joy, and illusion, the exhibition approaches mirror as both mask and surface — a site where festivity dazzles, identity fractures, and hidden truths glimmer beneath the reflection.
