Björkö Konstnod (BKN) is an artist-run residency programme founded in 2020 during Covid-19 pandemic. It is based in two former schoolhouses in Stockholm’s northern archipelago, where forest meets sea. The programme centres on collective residency experiences, guided by the idea of thinking and learning together.
At SUPERMARKET 2026, BKN presents ‘The House of Performance’, a dynamic installation bringing together performance-based works by BKN artists. The presentation includes video, photography, objects and live actions, combining works developed during residencies over the past five years with newly produced pieces. The project approaches performance as a relational practice, connecting artists with landscape, local human and more-than-human communities, and memory.
