ANSL is an ‘underwater’ artist-run space in Venice. At SUPERMARKET 2026, ANSL presents a panorama of its interests alongside a response to the title of the art fair. In an art supermarket, even the ‘banana’ becomes a commodity – inflated into a symbol of art and value.
The presentation includes a fragment of the Museum of American Art – Berlin, a copy of Giorgio de Chirico’s ‘Pittura Metafisica’, and ‘We’ve Drifted’ by Odesa conceptualist Nikolay Karabinovych – an inflatable seaside banana. The booth also features the Wunderkammer assembled in the Venetian marshlands by Alessandro Quinzii Borgomainerio, a painterly labyrinth by Ivan Kostyurin, and the Free Time & Space Bureau’s 46,656-day blockchain project, collectively reflecting on speculation, value and display.
