At Supermarket 2014, 1646 will present Dutch artist Bonno van Doorn.

The work of Bonno van Doorn can take various forms, from painting to sculpture, installation, drawings, all combined in a rather impulsive and spontaneous form.
In all his works we can find a playfulness and attempt to reconstruct our surroundings in a way that our references and the daily things we know seem to loose their original meaning, function and context.
When confronted with his work, what at first seems to be an experience of recognition turns into an experience that can not be defined by known rational terms, and therefore it stays a mere experience.
For the artist, making work from an intuitive approach while keeping the rational mind aside is in the core of his methodology.

For the occasion of Supermarket 2014, Van Doorn will develop a new site-specific installation.
